Dr Cathryn Lloyd is presenting our workshop this month on creative approaches to reflective practice for conflict practitioners. I’ve worked with Cat for many years, including teaching full day interactive workshops on The Artistry of Mediation. Cat’s book Seriously Playful Creativity is a delightful journey through the alphabet of creative action and reflection. You can take it one letter at a time, in order, or you can open at any page and see what inspires you! Each letter, and the word it represents, is accompanied by a brief overview of how that concept relates to creativity and a series of questions for you to consider its application in your own endeavours. Interspersed in between the alphabet are “interludes” that invite you to pause, reflect and notice. This book is a terrific prompt for self-reflection (both personally and professionally) and I can also see it being a fun tool to use with clients.
