Mediators and coaches are increasingly aware of the importance of supporting neurodivergent clients, but how well equipped are we to do this?
 
In this interactive session, informed by recent research at The University of Sydney, we’ll unpack how neurodivergence is understood in the helping professions and how common assumptions can unintentionally limit autonomy and outcomes for the people we support. 

We will think critically about the:

Various lenses for understanding neurodivergent clients

Common assumptions that can derail effective practice

Principles of neuro-affirmative and neuro-inclusive practice.

Audience

Designed for lifelong learners across conflict resolution and support roles – including mediators, conflict-management coaches, counsellors, social workers, HR generalists and medical practitioners. This session welcomes diverse perspectives and levels of experience with neurodivergent clients.

About your trainer

Rebecca is a leadership coach who specialises in supporting neurodivergent professionals and helping organisations to foster neuro-inclusive workplaces. She works with her clients to:
  • Optimise performance by harnessing neurodivergent strengths
  • Build awareness and understanding of neurodiversity at work
  • Facilitate healthy, productive cross-neurotype collaboration 
  • Create resource-rich environments where all minds can thrive
  • Equip leaders with the knowledge and confidence to attract, support and retain neurodivergent talent – boosting both wellbeing and performance.
With over 20 years of experience in professional services – spanning board and executive performance consulting at EY and Deloitte, leadership development and neuro-inclusion – Rebecca brings practical insight to her coaching. 

She complements this practical experience with academic rigour. Her recent research at The University of Sydney explores how coaches think about and support neurodivergent clients, contributing to the evolving conversation on best practice in this space.
