About your trainer

Karis Nafte is a certified Dog Behavior Consultant and accredited Family Mediator. She brings more than 25 years experience as a dog behavior expert into her work in the pet custody area.

Karis started ‘Who Keeps the Dog’ after seeing numerous clients over the years who needed help with their dogs behavior after their divorce. These dogs were stressed or anxious about their living situation or custody plan that they were living with after a breakup. Karis realized how often people need guidance to make a decision about their dogs that will work in the long run.

As well as providing mediation services, Karis runs training for mediators and lawyers who work with clients in conflict over their pets.
